Yamaha Alto YAS-53

I am looking for a used Yamaha student or intermediate level alto sax for my son. Some one intruduced me to a college student wanting to sell his used YAS-53.

Has any one heard of YAS-53 model? I can only find information on YAS-52 or YAS-475.

Only had one Yamaha when I played back in the mid 80's in College. Wasn't impressed with Yamaha or Selmer at the time. I could have purchased a used Mark VII in the early 90's but it had real bad pitch prob coupled pour projection. A 53 almost sounds like a Tenor. Have it appraised by a qualified horn tech. Regulation payed for the owner before purchased is highly recommended. Cosmo
