I'm thinking of switching from the flute to the soprano saxophone. In my first year of band, I tried out for the alto sax. My director said the mouthpiece was too big for my mouth, but the clarinet was NOT. I've heard that people who have played alto have to get used to the smaller reed and mouthpiece. I really like it and have done a lot of thinking about it. Would I be able to play it?
