What Alto sax should i buy??

by Jordan
(UK)

I have been playing the Alto Saxophone for about 7 years and have really enjoyed playing. I have had an Earlham Professional series 2 for the 7 years and feel i need an upgrade. I have roughly $800 (£500) to spend and wondered what sax would you recommend.

Buy a used horn or good quality
by: Anonymous

I reccomend getting a used horn from Selmer ,Yamaha, Yanikasawa , King, Martin ect . Also ,find a preofessional sax player , and agree to take a few lessons from the person , plus add a small fee , to help you determine which Sax to buy , what price to pay for it , ect, ect . Just like buying a diamond , one needs a trusted experienced expert to judge whay is glass or fake , and what is the real high grade diamond .
Unless you are knowledgable , thers a high chance that you will spend (and lose ) a lot of money , buying a lesser quality instrument , without the good judgement of an experienced saxophonist .

Read tis guide from a sax teacher
by: Mike

Hey!
There are many things to consider as you are to choose which saxophone to get. I found a guide by a well established saxophone teacher and musician and I would recommend that you start there. I've added the link below. Good Luck!
