serial number for my selmer mark VI

The serial number for my Selmer alto that is at least 40 years old is the following M129197 and it was made in france. I have someone who wants to purchase it but have no idea as to what its worth is. Any help would be greatly appreciated

How do you know the worth of 8k? You never saw or hear it play, go back to your kitchen and clean up the dish.

That is one of the finest saxes ever made! $8000 is probably on the low side! Take a look at ebay and see what they are going for. You'll be amazed!

Hello,

I'm from Germany and I play a Mark VI, made in France (N. 233 215) ca. 40 years old, and it sounds very great.
In official sites I couldn't found this Serialnumber. The description for this Number ist only for the Mark VII.

(Sorry for the bad English)
