I sure hope you are not spitting into your saxophone! There will be a very small amount of saliva behind the reed and in the mouthpiece but should not be in the horn at all. THe moisture you find in the neck of your sax is condensation from warm air hitting the cool metal instrument.

I clean the neck with a weighted pull swab. THe body of the sax can also be cleaned with a pull-type swab or with a fuzzy pad saver (looks like a marching band hat plume). There are problems with each type. I find the pull-type swabs rip fairly quickly, especially if pulled incorrectly and the fuzzy ones can leave lint in the instrument. If you are an elementary or middle school student, I recommend using the fuzzy pad-saver. It's easy and pulls the moisture off of the pads.
