Sounds good to me!
by: Ed

The Rossetti nickle/silver alto sax I bought by daughter is now fabulous. I got it second hand yet without a scratch. The key action is quiet by comparission and tone is pure. We found a key arm bent so a pad would not close. I quick trip to the shop for a check-up and things were great. As with any woodwind, invest in a good mouthpiece and ligature to maximize your sound.

Getting repair parts impossible
by: Anonymous

The experience that I have had with Rossetti Saxophones as a band director has been dire. The relative intonation is not good. Yes, a good mouthpiece and ligature(and reed) are vital, but the springs were of inferior quality (bouncing keys?) and the scale was not true. I could not recommend this for anything but a temporary start for a beginner, which would serve a purpose. We expect excellent intonation skills starting in seventh grade, and this instrument does not allow a student the ability to work toward that goal.
