Playing the Saxophone

I have never played an instrument in my life, but I have always been impressed with the saxophone and its sound. I like the sound of the saprano sax and I really want to learn to play it. But I have heard that it is very difficult to learn and master. Do you suggest the alto first? And if so, what brand would you suggest used of course?

Soprano Sax

Do yourself a favor. Start on the alto. The soprano is a bear to learn and master. Alto is much easier. Take it from an old sax player who's been playing for over 50 years.
