overhaul saxophone or not

We have an older Armstrong saxophone our 10 year old is playing. This is her second year and she seems to like it and is doing well. The sax needs refurbished. Keys are sticking, pads are coming off and it has several dents. We got two estimates of between $400 and $450 to refurbish it. Is it worth putting that much money into it or should we consider buying a better used one for about the same price? Any suggestions?
