When I began to play my sax it feels hard to blow through sometimes, like there is resistance. WHat could I be doing wrong? Should it feel easy to blow through?

reed
by: rock

Your reed might be too soft, or it may be too hard. Go up and down a half number on the same brand reed you're using now. If that doesn't make a noticeable difference, take it to a saxophone instructor to try out for you. The trying out of different reeds should be your first and cheapest fix.
