I currently own an alto model sts1500. They polay well with a good mouthpiece but the intonationi with the one supplied has to be worked with. Used to have4 an Amati and it was much more easily playable. Also have an ole Buescher tru-tone, parents god it for me some 45 years ago, that stills plays very well.

Stephanhouser has a new top line sts2000 that i would like to try out. Has sterling bell and neck. If purchasing one would go for the 1500 unless the 2000 proves to b3e an appreciable upgrade. Also would get model with high G key. Also heard Stephanhoouser is considering ading a sterling silver neckp8iece to 1500. Hey how about a silver bell also?....S

Wondering what you can tell me about this model – is it a good student saxophone? What should I expect to pay for a used one in excellent condition?
