The Anaxa Saxophone

The Anaxa saxophone is a brand that is not as widely known as others, but is reported by some to be a good saxophone. It is reported to be a well built instrument that is great for beginners. One neat feature that Anaxa provides is that of color. You can choose red, blue, green, purple, or black if you choose an Anaxa alto color saxophone. You should be able to buy a new one for around $800, which makes it more affordable than many other saxophones.

Of course, if you choose to buy a colored saxophone, you should probably check with the band to make sure it's desirable. Jazz and rock bands will love it, but the college orchestra might not share their enthusiasm!

Teachers have been known to recommend Anaxa for their students, because it is easy to blow and solidly built. However, it is wise to be cautious when buying a new saxophone, especially if you are buying it online sight unseen. These days a brand that has a good reputation may be available cheaply, but when you get the instrument, you find out that it doesn't play easily or last very long. This is particularly true if you see a shiny new Anaxa saxophone for sale on ebay or somewhere similar, and the asking price is only $200 or less.

When choosing any saxophone, it's really best to be able to check it out in person. In fact, it's advisable to have an experience saxophonist examine it with you. Of course, if you want an affordable purple or green saxophone, however, the Anaxa sax might be just what your looking for!
