Alto sax cases

What is the best alto sax case for an 11 year old boy? I'm looking at the SKB 440 or the Protec Contoured Pro Pac case.

His current case, which came with his sax, has a broken handle which has pulled free from the hook 'n loop part. It was repaired by a shoemaker but only lasted a month. He carries his sax to school at least twice a week.

I wonder if we'll have the same issues with the Protec case but worry that the SKB case will be too heavy for him.

Sax repair techs love soft sided cases since it means more work for them. I would definitely suggest a hard case (SKB or a regular "coffin" style)

Sax Case for junior musician

Cosmo here. Depends on the boys size, strength and dexterity. Maybe a wise choice would be a hard plastic case with a handle plus a shoulder strap. A shoulder strap would free up extra hands for carrying a bookbag, etc.
